中国机电产品进出口商会和美国PennWell集团公司拟在商务部和国家能源局的支持下，于2008年9月2日至4日在广州琶洲展馆合作举办2008年中国国际电力和能源会议，并同期举办“中国国际电力和石油天然气展览”（CPOG 2008）。本次会议将邀请国际、国内的能源部门主管官员、著名专家和企业领袖就中国能源电力领域的发展战略及前沿技术等热点课题进行精彩的主题演讲和讨论，预计届时将有逾300位国内外专业人士参会，将是了解中国和国际能源及电力行业发展战略和技术潮流的一次宝贵机会，现特邀贵公司派员出席。
一、会议介绍
本次会议将以战略与技术议题双轨并行的形式，带来中国和世界一流专家、学者针对电力油气及能源效率等方面的真知卓见和最前沿的科技资讯与动态。
能源战略类议题将讨论中国的相关政策、适应日益增长的电力需求的举措、节能减排等热点问题，并就该领域的投资机会以及投资者须遵守的法律体系进行分析。最后一天的研讨会将重点讨论能源利用效率，这在当前已是政府和企业共同关注的一个紧要问题，与会专家将正视激增的能源和电力需求与严重的环境污染这一矛盾，共商提高能源利用效率、实现可持续发展的解决方案。
技术类议题将由著名专家、学者展示最新的锅炉、气轮机、清洁能源及环保科技的研究成果，并将对石油天然气的生产、供应、运输以及对环境的影响等课题进行广泛而深入的探讨。
